Classic G34
The classic team is a recreational team that is focused on development. It offers balanced teams of individuals of various skill levels and roughly equal play time across all players. It is meant to foster growth and learning in a fun and low pressure environment.
Grades
Players in grade 3 and grade 4 who are Westwood residents are eligible to play in the Classic League.
When
The season begins with non mandatory indoor practices in March. Outdoor practices will begin end of March. The first game is typically the first Sunday in April.
Where
Practices are held at the fields at Westwood High School and Thurston Middle School. Home games are held at the Multipurpose Field at WHS and away games require travel for 5-45 minutes to varying towns.
Practices
Practices are held on Mondays and Wednesdays in the 5:30p -9:00p time frame.
Games
The season consists of 8-10 games held on Sundays.
A Jamboree is held in May.
Uniforms
WGYL players are required to purchase and wear the WGYL uniform to all games.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
The required equipment is:
- A colored mouthguard
- ASTM approved girls lacrosse goggles
- Girls Lacrosse Stick (boys sticks are not allowed)

Spring 2025
Registration for Spring 2025 season will open on November 20 and close on December 31. Spots are limited.
